Hi! I’m Amer and I currently work at Amazon Web Services as Senior Solutions Architect. My career in tech has been going on for 15+ years, starting as a support engineer all the way up to a CTO for a small company and everything in between.

I started my journey at Intermax, a managed hosting company in Rotterdam as a support/systems engineer. After Intermax I went to Mirabeau (now part of Cognizant) as an application administrator. Next was Mangrove (now part of iO). After a brief stint at Nines (part of Valtech), I came to Tevreden.nl to ultimately become their CTO. This ultimately led me to AWS, which I work for at the moment.

I enjoy public speaking about leadership, business and technology and host Amer’s Podcast. A few years ago I also had a podcast called Bits vs Bytes, which was the spiritual predecessor of my current podcast. I’ve spoken at events like the AWS Summit Amsterdam, AWS User Group Netherlands Meetups, Developers.nl and many more.
